It seems there was a little bit of drama near Taylor Swift's Rhode Island home early Wednesday morning (May 15). A fan was arrested after attempting to swim up to the private beach the house resides on. According to TMZ, the 22-year-old male fan was apprehended around 2:20 am, coming out of the ocean about a mile from Swift's place.

When police asked what he was up to, the man said he had attempted to come ashore at Swift's house to meet the singer, but decided it wasn't worth it when he saw her security team on the premises, choosing to swim back where he came from instead. Police booked the man on a charge of trespassing.

Local police say they have a zero tolerance policy for trespassing and have already discussed the incident with Swift's security detail. It's unclear if Taylor was home at the time. She last played live May 12 in Washington, D.C., before returning to the road for a May 16 show in Houston, Tex.
