Just one day after heading the slammer, MTV's "Teen Mom" reality star has been released from an Indiana prison as of Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 28), People reports.

Amber Portwood has been charged with three felonies stemming from a physical altercation with ex-fiance and baby-daddy, Gary Shirley. She faces two counts of domestic battery, one count of neglect of a dependent and one misdemeanor charge of domestic battery, to which she has pleaded not guilty. Two-year-old daughter Leah was witness to the attack.

Regardless of the charges, it is believed that Portwood will retain custody of her daughter.

"It is my understanding that Leah will be placed back with her," lawyer Robert Schembs  tells People.

The quick-tempered mother allegedly attacked Shirley three separate times between August 2009 and July 2010, some of which was captured on video and aired on MTV.
