'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood sentenced to five years in prison

amber-portwood-mug-shot.jpgAmber Portwood had a choice, complete drug rehab or go to prison. And prison she picked. So the judge honored her wishes on Tuesday (June 5) by sentencing the "Teen Mom" star to five years in jail, this according to TMZ.

Portwood, 22, was arrested in December 2011 and charged with probation violation after being caught with pills without a prescription. When it was determined that she had violated the terms, an Indiana judge told her that if she just completed drug rehab, the five-year term would be waived.

But Portwood admitted in late May that she wasn't clean, telling the judge that she'll always be a "bad girl."

While Portwood's attorney asked for a shorter sentence, the judge was unswayed. Portwood will still receive treatment while in jail as she'll be reportedly be remanded to an incarceration-based treatment program.
