"Teen Wolf" has completed its first bit of casting for the second half of Season 3. Arden Cho will join the MTV series in a major recurring role when "Teen Wolf" returns with new episodes in the winter.

The question is: Could the new girl in town be a new sort of monster?

It's definitely a possibility. According to E!Online, Cho's character will be a new student at Beacon Hills High School, a girl who is of mixed Korean and Japanese descent. Her arrival will bring with it a new threat that comes from Asian mythology.

What sort of threat might that be? When presenting the show at Comic-Con, "Teen Wolf" producer Jeff Davis hinted about "new mythology based on the Kitsune myth." Davis described the new creature as "a very, very fascinating Japanese shape-shifter myth about the were-fox and the trickster spirit.

"Teen Wolf" airs Mondays at 10pm on MTV. After the three episodes remaining for the summer part of Season 3, the show will return with more new episodes on Jan. 6, 2014.
