The first set pictures from the Michael Bay-produced "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" have appeared online, showing what fans should expect from Megan Fox's portrayal of April O'Neil. In the scene O'Neil, a newswoman, seems to be reporting while jumping on a trampoline, so obviously she's a serious journalist. No word on if Fox will don the iconic yellow jumpsuit at some point..
Co-star Will Arnett was also spotted filming the scene. His role had previously been unknown, however a keen eye zoomed in close on a photo of the actor, revealing he was playing a character named Vernon Fenwick. Vernon's origin dates back to the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" cartoon series in the 1980s.
Fenwick is April's camera man, who is anxious to be a reporter himself, and is constantly trying to find a way to take O'Neil's spot. The character has been absent from every incarnation of the "Ninja Turtles" story, except for the first cartoon series and a line of "Archie" comic books.
Bay recently stated that he thinks fans of the franchise will be happy with how the movie turns out, taking back previous comments that the turtles would have an alien origin. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is currently scheduled for a June 6, 2014 release.
