The Beatles top 5 mil on iTunes; Drake, Lil Wayne collaboration album in the works

beatles-itunes.jpgNearly two months after hitting the iTunes circuit, The Beatles have sold over 5 million songs and 1 million albums digitally. The most popular downloads? 1969's "Abbey Road" and the hit that will now be stuck in your head for the rest of the day, "Here Comes the Sun." [ THR]

Young Money's Drake and Lil Wayne are working on what sounds to us like a dream collaboration. The "Best I Ever Had" rapper has revealed that he and Wayne are working on an entire album together, and jokes about rivaling Kanye West and Jay-Z's upcoming "Watch the Throne." If they throw in a little Nicki Minaj, we don't see how the Drizzy/Weezy combination can fail. Which rapping combination do you prefer? [ MTV]

There is a very specific age group that can remember when the original "Making the Band" aired on MTV and spawned the short lived firework that was O-Town. Well, if you happen to fall into that category (as we do) -- rejoice! On Thurs. (Jan. 13), Jacob Underwood tweeted "Did someone say O-town reunion?!?" Following up on Fri. with, "The meeting with the O-town guys went very well..." and shortly thereafter, "Europe was def mentioned. This might be an interesting year." Cue "Liquid Dreams" on repeat until more news is confirmed. [ EW]
