'The Blacklist': James Spader is a wanted man in NBC's new drama
NBC has released a trailer for its new drama series "The Blacklist," and if the show as a whole lives up to these four minutes of footage, it's understandable why the network gave it arguably the best available timeslot it has.
The series stars James Spader ("The Office," "Boston Legal") as Raymond Reddington, a former government operative turned most wanted criminal. He turns himself into the FBI and offers to help catch a terrorist -- on the condition that his only contact in the agency is a profiler ( Megan Boone) who is just out of the academy.
The series also stars Harry Lennix ("Emily Owens, M.D.," "Dollhouse") and Diego Klattenhoff ("Homeland"). Jon Bonenkamp ("The Call") wrote the pilot script.
"The Blacklist" is set to air at 10 p.m. ET Mondays, following "The Voice," in the fall.
