'The Counselor' trailer: Penelope Cruz asks Michael Fassbender, 'Have you been bad?'

The new trailer for Ridley Scott and Cormac McCarthy's "The Counselor" makes "No Country For Old Men" look like child's play. Starring Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz, this trailer promises that plenty of bad things happen to all of its leads -- but that's the fun of watching a movie written by an author like McCarthy.

The story follows Fassbender's lawyer character as he gets involved in the drug trade. As those around him caution him, he's biting off much more than he can chew doing so. Per the synopsis, "Violence, mayhem and cheetahs follow soon thereafter." When Hayek's character asks him, "Have you been bad?" the only possible response is, "Yes."

"The Counselor" is slated to hit theaters on Oct 25.
