This is a good time for people who want to see Audra McDonald back on television. The Tony-winning actress will guest-star in an upcoming episode of CBS' legal drama, "The Good Wife."

McDonald will play the former nemesis of Alicia Florrick ( Julianna Margulies) from back when the two were students at Georgetown Law School (according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter). She will return to complicate Alicia's life when the two old enemies come up against each other in the courtroom.

This guest-starring role is currently only for a single episode, but there is the potential for the character to recur later in the series.

The casting of McDonald only adds another name to the rather impressive roster of guest stars appearing on "The Good Wife" this season. New and returning guests include Michael J. Fox, Nathan Lane, Christina Ricci, Matthew Perry, Kristin Chenoweth and Maura Tierney.

In addition to this guest-starring role, Audra McDonald will return to TV as the character of Dr. Naomi Bennett for the series finale of "Private Practice" on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

"The Good Wife" airs on Sundays at 9pm on CBS. McDonald's episode will air at some point this spring.
