'The Hobbit' first look trailer to run before 'The Adventures of TinTin?'

entertainment-weekly-hobbit.jpgIt's appropriate that the first trailer for "The Hobbit" will make its big-screen debut before the movie adaptation of another beloved literary property, "The Adventures of Tintin." Or, at least that's what "Lord of the Rings" star Elijah Wood tells Digital Spy.

According to Mr. Frodo Baggins himself, although he hasn't seen any footage yet, he expects it will be released soon. "I have spoken to people about the trailer, I have a sense of what's going to be in it," he tells Digital Spy. "I think it's going to be in front of 'Tintin' when it's released in the States."

Steven Spielberg's big holiday movie opens Dec. 21, and is produced by "The Hobbit"/"Lord of the Rings" mastermind Peter Jackson. (Oh, now it's making even more sense.) "The Hobbit" will be out in time for next year's Oscar race, debuting on Dec. 14, 2012.
