The Killers saxophonist Thomas Marth commits suicide

the-killers-thomas-marth-saxophoneThomas Marth, a sometimes saxophonist for the band The Killers was found dead in his Las Vegas home on Monday (April 23) from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head, reports Reuters.

"Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy," The Killers tweeted after learning of his death.

Marth played sax on tour with the band between 2008 and 2010 and also played on their albums "Sam's Town" and "Day & Age."

His death has officially been ruled a suicide by Clark County, Nev., officials.
