'The New Normal' and 'Revolution': First pics of J.J. Abrams and Ryan Murphy's NBC Fall 2012 pilots

new-normal-pilot-nbc.jpgTwo highly successful TV producers are bringing new shows to the small screen in 2012 on NBC. J.J. Abrams ("Lost," "Fringe," "Alias") is debuting a new drama called "Revolution" and Ryan Murphy ("Glee," "American Horror Story," "Nip/Tuck") is launching comedy "The New Normal."

Check out these first-look photos of each pilot. Above is "The New Normal," which features a gay couple trying to start a family via surrogate. Pictured (l to r) are stars Bebe Wood as Shania, Andrew Rannells as Bryan, Justin Bartha as David and Georgia King as Goldie.

Below is "Revolution," which features a group of people trying to survive and find their loved ones in a world where all forms of energy mysteriously cease to exist. We aren't exactly sure what that means yet, but we're definitely intrigued. Pictured (l to r) are stars Anna Lise Phillips as Maggie, Graham Rogers as Danny, Tim Guinee as Ben, David Lyons as Bass Monroe, Billy Burke as Miles, Tracy Spiridakos as Charlie, Andrea Roth as Rachel, Maria Howell as Grace, JD Pardo as Nate, Zak Orth as Aaron and Giancarlo Esposito as Lt. Neville.

What do you think, Zappers? Getting excited for the new shows of the 2012-13 season?
