'The O.C.': Peter Gallagher and Ben McKenzie tweet each other and we reminisce about Chrismukkah

the-oc-ryan-and-sandy.jpgListen, we're not particularly proud of the emotional meltdown we had when "The O.C." costars Ben McKenzie and Peter Gallagher gave each other public Twitter shout-outs on Tuesday, but we're going to share it with you anyway.

Gallagher is congratulating McKenzie's uncle, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter Robert Schenkkan, on his play "All The Way being nominated for a Kennedy Theater Prize.

There's nothing quite so heartwarming to a TV fan as seeing that our favorite actors still keep in touch, even if it is via social networking. We're just going to assume they're also DMing and making plans to meet for bagels and deep conversation. We miss Ryan and Sandy's deep man-to-man talks and tie-tying lessons and emotional breakdowns at bus stations and bad jokes and stuff, but in the absence of that, this will do.

We also figured that this is a perfect time to reminisce about Chrismukkahs past. Thanks to TheWB.com, we can watch the entire Season 2 holiday episode, "The Chrismukkah That Almost Wasn't," below.

So it's not quite as spectacular as the Season 1 episode, in which Marissa shoplifted and got wasted and Ryan went postal on her -- and evil Oliver made his very first appearance -- but it's still pretty awesome. We can even forgive Lindsay's awfulness, since she introduced the Yamaclaus to Chrismukkah tradition. Watch now!
