'The View': Whoopi says Harry Reid 'didn't say anything ignorant'

the-view-cast-320.jpgThe ladies of "The View" debate Harry Reid's racially-charged comments about President Barack Obama. Video below.

The panel on "The View" took on Harry Reid's private assertion that the U.S. can accept a "light-skinned" black man as President, especially one who doesn't speak with a "Negro dialect."

Whoopi Goldberg makes the astute observation that while Obama is hardly "light-skinned," Harry Reid nevertheless made a very good and not-at-all ignorant point.

Sherri Shepherd says that she disagreed with Harry Reid's opinion but that Reid should've stood behind what he said and not apologized.

What do you guys think? Agree with the women of "The View?"
