'The Voice' coaches Adam Levine and Cee-Lo eliminate four contestants
For Team Adam, America initially voted to save Mathai, Tony Lucca, and Pip. That left Kim Yarbrough, Karla Davis, and Katrina Parker on the chopping block. Each woman sang in the hopes of getting Adam's final save. Kim sang "Spotlight" and Karla sang "I Can't Make You Love Me." It was Katrina's rendition of Gwen Stefani's "Don't Speak," however, that really rocked the house.
Cee-Lo, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton all said that they'd choose Katrina. Adam agreed. "Rather than have it be a long drawn out thing I'm not going to be emotional about this decision, I have to make the decision that I have to make for the show, Katrina you're the winner." He did encourage Kim and Karla to bask in the experience of being on "The Voice," though, and to seize any opportunity it affords them.
On Cee-Lo's team, America voted to save Juliet Simms, Jamar Rogers, and James Massone. That meant that Tony Vincent, Cheesa, and Erin Martin had to sing for their lives. Vincent, a brand new father, sang "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" and then Cheesa brought the house down with "All By Myself." Erin Martin went for a crickety version of "Your Song," her blind audition song.
"I'm a little pissed off right now," Adam said after the performances. "Why did it take this long for you guys to sing like it was your last chance?... You guys did a great job but it came a little late. I'd save Cheesa."
Blake said he was won over by Tony, but that Cheesa had his vote. Christina also chose Cheesa. "My mind says Tony, but my heart says Cheesa," Cee-Lo said. Ouch.
That means Team Adam is Mathai, Tony Lucca, Pip, and Katrina Parker. Team Cee-Lo is Juliet Simms, Jamar Rogers, James Massone, and Cheesa.
Do you think they made the right choices?
