'The Voice' results: And then there were 5 - Who went home?

the-voice-top-6-results-nbc.jpg"The Voice" continues its slow trudge to the Season 4 finale, eliminating one artist from the Top 6 on Tuesday (June 4). Would Shakira, Usher or Adam Levine be knocked out of the competition? Or was it time for Team Blake Shelton to get knocked down a peg?

First a little music

Cassadee Pope returned home to debut her first single, called "Wasting All These Tears." It's a mid-tempo power ballad with a country tinge, reminiscent of her more powerful moments during her run on Season 3. Is it good enough to make her the first successful "Voice" winner? Time will tell. Carson announces that it bowed at number 1 on the iTunes country chart.

Michelle Chamuel and Sasha Allen took to the stage to perform together on Madonna's "Open Your Heart," and the energy felt a little low. Maybe there wasn't much rehearsal time on this one? It was weird. Also, the mic levels between Michelle and Sasha and the background singers were much too uneven. The backup vocalists were too loud in comparison.

First artist safe: Michelle
Second artist safe: Sasha

A little more music

Holly Tucker and The Swon Brothers take the stage to sing together on The Wreckers' "Leave The Pieces." They sounds typically great, but there's a palpable sense of dread, considering neither are safe yet.

Third artist safe: Danielle Bradbery

More music, you say?

Danielle and Amber Carrington team up for The Bangles' kitsch-fest "Eternal Flame." Danielle never looks quite at home when the song isn't explicit country, and here she's easily overshadowed by Amber. Team Adam's lone artist also handles the song a bit better, vocally.

Fourth artist safe: Amber
Final artist safe: The Swon Brothers

Eliminated artist: Holly

Did the right artist go home tonight, "Voice" fans?
