Will Norman Reedus be returning to the big screen soon? According to a new report, "The Walking Dead" star is being eyed to take a role in "The Crow."

Schmoes Know claims to have an inside scoop from a source that Reedus is the top choice to play the character "James," though it's unclear who that character is. Luke Evans was previously announced to take the lead role of Eric Draven, which was held in the original "The Crow" movie by the late Brandon Lee.

This "The Crow" casting news has not been confirmed by anyone in the movie's camp and thus is just a rumor for the time being. The flick is slated to be a remake adaptation of James O'Barr's 1989 comic book of the same name.

Javier Gutierrez is directing, and production is slated to begin in 2014. It will be interesting to see if this version of the film actually makes it off the ground, as the last attempt starring Bradley Cooper failed.

Reedus can currently be seen on "The Walking Dead," which airs Sundays on AMC at 9 p.m.
