Tiger Woods survives sausage attack

tiger-woods-frys-getty.jpgAs Tiger Woods begins his long road back to golf stardom there are certainly bumps to expect. But one thing he probably didn't anticipate happened on Sunday (Oct. 9) when a fan threw a hot dog at the golf legend.

Woods was putting at the Frys.com golf tournament in San Martin, CA when a fan yelled "Tiger! Tiger!" and then threw his sausage, bun and all, at him. The unidentified man then laid face down on the green and waited for security to take him away.

As for the incident, Woods didn't seem rattled by it. After the round, Woods said, "I guess he wanted to be in the news...And I'm sure he will be."

This is not Woods' first run in with a wiener. During the 2011 Master's golf tournament, a sports bar near the Augusta National Golf Course introduced a meal called the "Tiger Homewrecker." It featured the gut-busting combination of 12" hot dog stuffed with cheese, wrapped with bacon and deep fried then it's topped with a chili, onions and more cheese.

Woods finished the tournament tied for 30th with a four-day total of 277, ten strokes off the winner Bryce Molder.
