Time magazine breast-feeding cover: 'The View' hosts weigh in on attachment parenting

time-magazine-breastfeeding-cover-time-mag.jpgBarbara Walters and company took some time to enjoy "The View" of Time magazine's latest cover on Thursday's (May 10) episode of the daytime talk show. While the hosts chatted, a blown-up image of the cover was projected behind the ladies with a black circle covering the mouth of a 3-year-old attached to his mom's breast.

Reading from the magazine's article, Walters explains the concept of attachment parenting, which encompasses tenets like extended breast-feeding, "baby wearing" and co-sleeping.

"What about Octomom or the Duggars? Are they supposed to sleep with all their children," co-host Joy Behar quips.

While mom of three Elizabeth Hasselbeck notes that co-sleeping can have a negative effect on a woman's relationship with her spouse.

"That's birth control right there," she says.
