Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge have revealed their new coat of arms, which "Today" says was created by combining the "shield and symbols of Prince William on the left" with the "shield and unicorn emblem of Duchess Kate given to her by Queen Elizabeth before their marriage."

Britain's College of Arms says in a release that the joint coat of arms represents the as a couple "in heraldic terms."

William's shield features British and Scottish lions plus a harp to symbolize Ireland, while Kate's shield has a chevron that symbolizes her mother Carole (whose maiden name is Goldsmith) and three acorns that stand for the three Middleton children.

We wonder what Prince George's coat of arms will look like?
