'Today' shows off makeover: What do you think of Studio 1A's new look?

today-show-makeover-2013.jpg"The Today Show" debuted a brand-new look on Monday (Sept. 16), which is the show's first new look in seven years. It was conceived and constructed by lead set designer Jeremy Conway and a team of almost 200 people.

The new studio features a big orange couch and a new anchor desk that turns 360 degrees. Weatherman Al Roker calls it "America's new living room."

New team member Carson Daly also debuted the Orange Room, a new digital, interactive feature for "Today."

"The idea of the Orange Room is to bea  real place where we can essentially connect with you at home. This is also a room that's equipped to monitor social media and digital traction of any story live," says Daly, showing off how social media has been driving the conversation about the use of the Washington D.C. NFL team name as his first example.
