Tom Hiddleston tortures Cookie Monster to teach him 'delayed gratification'

At long last, the product of those adorable Tom Hiddleston and Cookie Monster photos that came out of the TCA Summer Press Tour has made its way online. The pair came together for a PBS sketch where Hiddleston teaches Cookie Monster the meaning of "delayed gratification," and it's probably the cutest thing on the Internet today.

In the video, Hiddleston finds himself presented with a cookie while he's on break. Unfortunately, the Cookie Monster is drawn in by the delicious scent of the chocolate chip cookie, and tries to claim the tasty treat for himself. That's when Hiddleston teaches him the important lesson of waiting.

"I really want to share it with you, but this one's mine. But I know that there'll be one for you," Hiddleston says. Cookie Monster responds, "So you're saying that if me wait, me going to get cookie?" "Ultimately, yes," Hiddleston answers.

The video ends the only way it could: with cookies for everyone. Now if only this video had included Cookie Monster's cover of Icona Pop's "I Love It," it would have been absolutely perfect.
