'True Blood': BBC's Lara Pulver joins as new immortal

true-blood-hbo-lara-pulver.jpgBritish actress Lara Pulver has joined the " True Blood" cast for Season 3, a spokesperson for HBO confirms to Zap2it.

Best known as Isabella in the BBC series " Robin Hood," Pulver has also starred in several theatre productions in London's West End.

Spoiler Alert!

Pulver has been cast as Claudine, Sookie's fairy godmother in The Southern Vampire Mysteries books, which "True Blood" is based on. If the TV series follows the books at all, we will probably learn more about the origin of Sookie's mind reading powers and her family history as Claudine is related to Sookie.

Fairies can live to a very old age and they're very attractive to humans and almost irresistible to vampires. Their superhuman strength, though, places them on a whole new playing field. Let's just say they don't exactly play the damsel in distress much.
