'Turn' trailer: Jamie Bell's Abraham Woodhull targeted as 'corrupt'

Jamie Bell's character Abraham Woodhull is at the center of this Zap2it exclusive clip from AMC's new spy drama "Turn."

In the show, Abe decides to become a spy for the American revolutionaries against the British forces. His decision causes friction in his personal life between those who tell him he's doing the right thing -- like his childhood sweetheart Anna Strong -- and those who think he is "something corrupt" in their town -- like his father and wife.

Based on some of the extreme imagery in this trailer, it's clear that the job of being America's first spy doesn't come easy for Abe. As Bell told Zap2it at the TCA 2014 winter press tour, it's never quite clear what motivates Abraham to take this position with the revolution.

"There's so much that he has going against him that I love the hesitancy, the resistance, the repression he has for himself," Bell explains. "I think the evolution of the character throughout the season has to be how he finds his beliefs, or how he finds his passions, and how he fights for himself and does something that he wants for a change."

"Turn's" 90-minute premiere airs Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. What do you think of this new trailer?
