TV ratings: 'American Idol,' 'Top Model' up, 'Survivor' holds steady

FOX's "American Idol" was up this week in both the 8 and 9 o'clock hours, winning the network the top spot for Wednesday ratings. CBS' "Survivor: One World" held the line, while The CW's "America's Next Top Model: British Invasion" was up a bit over last week's 1.3 million viewers, getting 1.4 million viewers this week.

FOX averaged 18.5 million viewers -- up 1.5 million over last week -- with a 10.8 rating/17 share in households. CBS was second at 8.7 million, 5.4/9, third place went to ABC with 5.1 million, 3.4/5, fourth was NBC with 3.7 million, 2.5/4, and The CW at 1.44 million, 1.0/2.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX won with a 5.6 rating, followed more distantly by CBS (2.2), ABC (1.7), NBC (1.2) and the CW (0.6).
