TV ratings: Football scores the most points, 'The Simpsons' reruns pick up steam

Football was the big winner for NBC on a rerun-heavy night, as viewers prepared for the Christmas holiday. Fox was up from last week with its reruns of "The Simpsons," Family Guy," and American Dad."

NBC drew 13.7 million viewers and an 8.1 rating/14 share in households for the night. FOX (7.7 million, 4.5/8) came in second, beating out CBS (6.4 million, 4.3/7) and ABC (5.2 million, 3.2/6).

NBC also scored highest among adults 18-49, bringing in a 4.6. FOX finished second in the demographic with a 3.0. ABC was third at 1.1, followed by CBS, with a meager .9 rating.
