TV ratings: 'Fringe' and 'Made in Jersey' open quietly Friday as CBS leads the night
CBS had a pretty solid premiere Friday in viewers, although its new series "Made in Jersey" opened somewhat softly, falling short of the premiere of "A Gifted Man" last year.
Elsewhere, "Grimm" scored the night's best adults 18-49 rating -- although it was only a 1.6 -- and "Fringe" began its final season with a smaller audience than last year's premiere.
CBS averaged 9.25 million viewers and a 6.1 rating/11 share in households Friday night, leading the field by better than 4 million viewers. ABC (4.7 million, 3.1/6) came in second, beating NBC's 4.3 million viewers and 2.9/5. FOX (3.2 million, 2.1/4) took fourth. The CW brought in a little over 900,000 viewers and a 0.6/1.
The adults 18-49 numbers were pretty meager across the board. ABC and CBS tied for the lead at 1.3. NBC was right behind at 1.2, and FOX posted a 1.1 in the demographic. The CW came in at 0.3.
