"Hell's Kitchen" and "Masterchef" carried FOX to the top of the adults 18-49 ratings Tuesday night, while "America's Got Talent" captured the total-viewer crown for NBC. "AGT" was down from last week, though.

The three-network coverage of the Democratic National Convention at 10 p.m. was about even in viewers with the Republican convention a week before.

NBC scored 7.5 million viewers and a 4.7 rating/7 share in households for the night. FOX (6.3 million, 3.7/6) came in second, beating out CBS (5.8 million, 3.9/6). ABC was off the pace in fourth, drawing 2.7 million viewers and a 1.9/3. The CW averaged a little more than 640,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.

FOX led the 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating. NBC took second with a 1.9. None of the other networks made it to a 1.0 rating, with CBS scoring a 0.9, ABC a 0.7 and The CW a 0.3.
