TV ratings: 'NCIS' finale tops 'America's Got Talent' Tuesday, two-hour 'Glee' falls
The season finales of "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" carried CBS to an across-the-board ratings win Tuesday, while night two of "America's Got Talent" improved slightly in viewers but declined in adults 18-49.
Elsewhere, a double dose of "Glee" on FOX was down a little from its performance last week, and the season finale of "Private Practice" improved on its week-ago numbers.
CBS averaged 16.3 million viewers and a 10.3 rating/16 share for the night, leading second-place NBC (8.6 million, 5.3/8) by a wide margin. ABC (7.8 million, 5.3/8) came in third. FOX drew 6 million viewers and a 3.6/6, while The CW managed only about 830,000 viewers and a 0.6/1.
CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.2 rating. NBC was second at 2.8, followed by FOX at 2.5. ABC scored a 1.7 in the demo, and The CW came in at 0.4.
