TV ratings: 'Suburgatory,' 'Happy Endings' have solid premieres, 'X Factor' dips slightly Wednesday
"Suburgatory" proved a pretty good fit in ABC's comedy lineup Wednesday, and "Happy Endings" began its second season with its best ratings ever -- although it did lose a good amount of the audience from its "Modern Family" lead-in.
"The X Factor," meanwhile, fell a small amount from its premiere but still helped FOX score a win among adults 18-49 for the night. CBS and NBC also dipped a little, as did ABC's new drama "Revenge."
CBS led the night in total viewers with 11.7 million (and a 7.3 rating/11 share in households), narrowly beating FOX's 11.5 million and 6.9/10. ABC (9.35 million, 6.0/9) took third. NBC grabbed fourth with 6.3 million viewers and a 4.3/7. The CW (1.6 million, 1.1/2) was up a little over last week.
FOX won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.9 rating. ABC and CBS tied for second at 3.3. There was a sizable dropoff from there to fourth-place NBC, which managed only a 1.6. The CW earned a 0.7.
