TV ratings: 'The Bachelor' finale rises and gives ABC a Monday win
The finale of "The Bachelor" and the "After the Final Rose" reunion show gave ABC an across-the-board ratings win Monday. The finale improved on last year's conclusion and scored the network's best Monday ratings among adults 18-49 since September 2011.
Also Tuesday, "The Following" was off a little from last week but still finished second in its hour in both viewers and adults 18-49. "The Biggest Loser" dropped on NBC, but "Deception" improved slightly on last week's ratings.
ABC easily led the night with 10.3 million viewers and a 6.7 rating/10 share in households. FOX (6.42 million, 4.0/6) edged CBS (6.37 million, 4.2/7) for second place. NBC took fourth with 4.8 million viewers and a 3.1/5. The CW (900,000, 0.6/1) trailed.
ABC also dominated the 18-49 demographic with a 3.5 rating. FOX came in second in the demo with a 1.9, beating out NBC (1.7) and CBS (1.6). The CW posted a 0.3.
