TV ratings: 'Wipeout' tops 'Big Brother' Thursday and '3' has a weak debut
Two hours of "Wipeout" on Thursday helped ABC to a ratings win as the second hour beat CBS' "Big Brother" in both viewers and adults 18-49. The tide on ABC carried over to "Rookie Blue" as well, which posted its best numbers of the summer.
The premiere of dating show "3" on CBS, meanwhile, was pretty weak, failing to reach even 3 million viewers.
ABC led the night with 6.4 million viewers and a 3.7 rating/6 share in households. CBS (5.2 million, 3.4/6) came in second. There was a pretty drop from there to third-place FOX (2.9 million, 2.0/4). NBC came in fourth with 2.3 million viewers and a 1.5/3. The CW delivered 800,000 people and a 0.5/1.
No network managed to get above a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49. ABC finished on top with a 1.9, beating CBS' 1.7. FOX took third with a slim 0.9, followed by NBC, 0.7, and The CW, 0.3.
