- Shonda Rhimes has expanded her TV empire even more as ABC has ordered her pilot, "How To Get Away With Murder." The law school thriller comes from Rhimes and "Scandal" writer Peter Nowalk. The drama centers on a group of law students and their criminal defense professor who became part of a murder plot.

- "Suits" Season 3 will return to an old storyline in episode 12: the ex-husband of Jessica Pearson ( Gina Torres). The news came from series creator Aaron Korsh via Twitter:

The character of Quentin Sainz (played by Russell Hornsby of "Grimm") first appeared in the Season 1 episode, "Dirty Little Secrets." Embroiled in a lawsuit regarding experimental medicine, Quentin was revealed to be dangerously ill at the time. It is not clear whether episode 12 will bring back the character or just mention the old case.

- "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" is expanding to include Mr. Worldwide himself. Pitbull will join in in the New Year's festivities with a live performance from the American Airlines Arena in Miami. He's the latest name among a list that includes Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Jason Derulo.
