'Ugly Betty' exclusive: Ana Ortiz and Tony Plana on a new start, new love and a musical episode

On " Ugly Betty," The Suarez family have been instrumental in making the show a hit its first season. When Betty moved out on her own in season three, the fans quickly missed Betty's every day interaction with Ignacio (Tony Plana), her sister Hilda (Ana Ortiz) and her flamboyant nephew, Justin (Mark Indelicato). The writers apparently took note and swiftly moved Betty back home.

Ignacio has had his fair share of health problems and relationship troubles. Now, he has gone multi-culti celebrating Chrismukkah this season in honor of his new Jewish gal pal, the hilarious pharmacist who sold Betty and Hilda their pregnancy tests during their recent pregger-gate.

Hilda takes "unlucky in love" to whole new levels, though, with one love interest being killed, one being married, and now having cheated on Archie (played by a very grown up "Karate Kid" Ralph Macchio) with her high school flame ("CSI: Miami's" Adam Roriguez). She's now faced with telling him she's pregnant and he's the father.

I spoke to Ana Ortiz and Tony Plana on the eve of the show's move to Wednesday nights about the new beginning, what to expect this season and who would be out of tune in a rumored musical episode.

" Ugly Betty" airs tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 10pm E/P on ABC.
