Valerie Bertinelli is all about 'Cleveland' and Betty White

With her TV Land sitcom -- premiering Wednesday, June 16 -- having just started production, the "One Day at a Time" and Jenny Craig weight-loss-ad veteran admits she hasn't kept up with such of-the-moment competitions as FOX's "American Idol" and ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

"I just don't have the time right now," Bertinelli tells Zap2it. "[My son] Wolfie gave me the first season of 'Dexter' on DVD, so when I get home, I'll watch the latest 'TheDaily Show With Jon Stewart' and then an episode of 'Dexter.' If I even have time for that."

Today (Monday, May 17), Bertinelli begins work on the third episode of "Hot in Cleveland" with co-stars Wendie Malick ("Just Shoot Me!") and Jane Leeves ("Frasier") as her friends and new Ohio housemates, and resurgent home-screen superstar Betty White as the site's longtime caretaker.

"I love that I'm working with the hottest woman in show business," Bertinelli says of White. "She's such a delight. We could all learn so much from her attitude and her grace and her work ethic. She's just an unbelievable woman.

"They signed her first," adds Bertinelli, "then they put the rest of us together ... and for me, it is just such a dream cast. And Carl Reiner is playing Betty's love interest this week, so we're in heaven."
