The CW has pulled the encore episodes of "Melrose Place" from their Wednesday night lineup, replacing them with repeats of "Vampire Diaries," The CW confirmed to Zap2it. The change was first reported by The Futon Critic.

The substitution will be effective immediately this week, and the revised schedule sent out lists that last week's "Vampire Diaries" episode "Lost Girls" will air this Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Encores of "Haunted" and "162 Candles" will air on Nov. 4 and 11, respectiviely.

Having "Diaries" air on Wednesdays pairs it with "America's Next Top Model," which will take over the night completely on Wednesday, Nov. 18 for its two-hour finale of the Mini Models edition.

The feature film "Gracie" will step in on Nov. 25. The December lineup for Wednesday nights are still to be determined. Our CW contact says encore episodes are typical programming through the holidays, but could not elaborate at the time.
