'Walking Dead' star Lauren Cohan books a gig on 'Law & Order: SVU'

The Hollywood Reporter has the details on Cohan's central role in an upcoming "SVU" episode inspired by the "legitimate rape" controversy involving Republican Senate nominee Todd Akin. Cohan will play a sports reporter who accuses a cameraman of rape and later learns she's pregnant.

The episode is expected to air in late March on NBC, which would be shortly before "The Walking Dead" wraps Season 3 on March 31.

Cohan's previous TV guest work includes recurring roles on "Chuck," "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries."
