'Walking Dead's' Dallas Roberts joins 'Unforgettable' Season 2 on CBS

dallas-roberts-twd.jpgIt won't surprise anyone if Dallas Roberts' character Milton doesn't survive Season 3 of "The Walking Dead," but it'll be even less surprising with the news Roberts is joining the cast of CBS' "Unforgettable" for Season 2.

Roberts has been a prominent recurring figure this season on "Dead" as Woodbury resident and the Governor's personal researcher, Milton. But last week's episode hinted that he's becoming a bit disenchanted with his boss, and the Governor doesn't take kindly to disobedience.

Roberts' casting on "Unforgettable" keeps him in the CBS family -- where he's also had a recurring role as Alicia's brother on "The Good Wife." Season 2 of "Unforgettable" is scheduled to kick off July 28 and will introduce Roberts as Eliot, a NYPD detective in charge of major cases.

CBS nearly canceled "Unforgettable" after its so-so first season ratings but gave the show a last minute reprieve order of 13 episodes to air in the summer. First season cast members Poppy Montgomery, Dylan Walsh and Jane Curtin are all on board to return, while James Laio and Tawny Cypress ("Heroes") have been added in a recurring capacity.
