'We Are Men' steal an ex's dog in 'We Are Dognappers,' teases Kal Penn
"[Jerry O'Connell's] character is in the middle of a really bitter divorce and custody battle and the one thing they can't agree on is who gets to keep the dog," says Penn.
"We break in to his ex-wife's place and steal a dog. It's bizarre, it's four grown men in a plotline that could easily be designed for 12-year-olds. There's a humor in that because guys, particularly with senses of humor, very little changes after we turn 12. It was a lot of fun, very silly."
It's things like that that have made filming the show so much fun for the stars, Penn tells us.
"We've really been enjoying it. When you book a pilot you very selfishly celebrate that you have a job ... but now that we've been shooting for a couple months, I want it to do well because I want to hang out with these guys for the next nine years," he laughs. "They're all hilarious and really, really fun, both in real life and on the show. It's been a lot of fun."
"We Are Men" airs Monday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
