The Jennifer Lawrence/ Josh Hutcherson-starring movie about a dystopian future in which teens fight to the death in an arena grossed $33.5 million in ticket sales, according to Box Office Mojo, down from last week's take but still more than enough to bury "American Reunion's" $21.5 million. James Cameron's "Titanic 3D" came in third with $17.4 million at the box office -- respectable, but a far cry from the film's original opening weekend in 1997 when it raked in $28 million and kept going as fans went back to see the film a second and third time.

Rounding out the top 10: "Wrath of the Titans" ($15M), "Mirror Mirror" ($11M), "21 Jump Street" ($10.2M), "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" ($5M), "Salmon Fishing in Yemen" ($975,000), "John Carter" ($820,000) and "Safe House" ($581,000).
