Were Moammar Gadhafi's last words 'Do you know right from wrong?'

moammar-gadhafi-2009.jpgWhenever a historical figure dies, there's a certain fascination with their final utterance, and Moammar Gadhafi is no exception to the rule. There is rarely hard evidence to confirm a person's last words. In Gadhafi's case, his gory attack was caught on video.

Though supporters attempted to take Gadhafi to the hospital after he was found wounded, he was caught in crossfire and later beaten by opponents. When one of his assailants says, "This is for Misrata, you dog!" Gadhafi can be heard replying, "Do you know right from wrong?"

It's the final sentence we hear from Gadhafi on the tape, Reuters reports, and an ironic one, given the violent life Gadhafi led.

Currently, Gadhafi's body is being held in a meat locker in a Misrata shopping center. Civilians wait outside in line to enter the freezer and have their picture taken with the body. Women and children are permitted to enter separately from men.
